It was never time to talk about Ireland joining the union. Brussels was all about rerunning the referendum till they got the answer they wanted.

Found an article written by an independence minded Irishman (and why shouldnt they all be? They fought a war to kick out the British after all) that talks about the experience of Ireland getting dragged into the EU and what it would mean for Brexit. Thought it interesting enough to post.
