Lunar (Chinese?) New Year

Anyone celebrating the Chinese New Year? In Melbourne it is a really big event. Melbourne has a very large Asian community and we have a very active Chinatown district. Tonight there are going to be big events in Chinatown and we are going to watch. There are going to be dragons, fireworks, giant flamethrowers and lots of other interesting stuff. My neighbors are Asian and they know know their stuff so i will go with them but they are conflicted about the celebrations because they are not all from China. Apparently it is insulting to them because "it is actually the Lunar New Year and is for all Asians to celebrate - not just the Chinese". Fascinating...
