I think the title is self-evident enough. While I can accept the 2005 version of Galactica as decent sci-fi (helped 10x by James-Edward), there are a lot of things that quirk me about it.
I find that in the end, I feel about BG/2005 the same way I feel about Star Trek : Enterprise. Decent sci-fi. Probably would have liked it much better if it were named something else.

I've seen a few, the 2 part pilot (tho it is called a mini ?) and a few of the first seazon 1 episodes..
To be honest, the original (Not the second series of the 80's), with all the cardboard effects, were better then the new one, tho the seazon 1 episodes were better then the mini..
Shame about the Cylons, looking more human, nice to see the older Cylon design improved as some kind of soldier "model", shame about the Cylon Raiders being some kind of organic android..
Plotwise, having seen only a few episodes, it's ok.. If a bit "seen it all before and written better"..
Some things just don't fit, like the link that one reporter or dr or whatever he is has with that Cylon woman.. Either he is just nuts, or Cybernetics can mimic Dr Xavier...
Also, what about the "eternal" live of a Cylon.. Kill him and they just activate a new one with, IIRC, all memories intact.. (Robotech idea?)
Not sure, it just seems they took the plotline of the original Battlestar, adapted it to be a more modern SF plot, and mixed it with every existing SF movie/serie/anim they could find..
A great SF serie redone in a lesser style..
Now, how about a new Blake's 7 ? Can we please get the orignal Liberator back on screen in true 3D ? (MY fave ship after an Imperial Star Destroyer.. Made a Imagine model that sits somewhere on my Amiga HD that crashed.. (both of em)) _________________ ~

Hi
I've seen the 1st season and to me its garbage. There is nothing redeeming in any of the characters nothing to make you want to root for them.
A holocaust like they went through is supposed to bring the survivors together yet in this thing they degenerated into every dysfunctional behavior you can think of no coming together to help each other..
Special effects are ok but that’s about it. Nothing to make me watch anymore
