User ranks?
    Posted: Sun Apr 03, 2005 8:42 pm

Hi guys,

One of the things on my list is to create "user ranks" (similar to the way Amiga.org has them). I'm open to ideas about what to name these ranks and whether anyone has any idea about what to use for rank images (like the little checker boxes at AO).

what if people just had funny phrases next to their names.
like, Biggest pain in the Ass

or,

most colorful kneecaps.

stuff like that.

the title would be related to what they have done here or who they are.
like, meer's could be something like,
Official WhyZZat Artist

(or something more colorful, but in that same vein)

I don't know if personal titles have made it into PHPBB as they have in others like VBulletin, but I was thinking more along the lines of..

- Beginner
- Lurker
- CNN opinion repeater
- CNN opinion analyst
- learning to think for themselves
- starting to catch on
- {something else here}
- {something else here}
- Master of the whip
- Grand Inquisitor

most of those are good.

I think "BBC opinion analyst" (or something similar)
should go above the CNN one
and "Daily Show Correspondent"

should be above that.

and isn't there a reporter on South Park...the guy in the bikini???

I have to find his exact title.

LOL, no, there really is a character with some title of 'guy in bikini', or something similar.

however, a title of "Big Gay Al" might fit right in.....I'm just not sure where!

hhmmmm, sounds a bit cuddly.

if it's going to be put in there it should eb near the earlier rankings.

later ranking should progress to more a more satirical bite.

How gay is that? YMCA 2005, with an obvious 10 yard penalty for the abuse of socks...
