the next time someone starts up that 'war on religion' bullshit show them this list of companies that are run by people who are all about religion and have made profits in the US

Big? not abroad apparently, as I've never seen them anywhere here in Europe. :)

I know of Timberland and of George Foreman. The boots are good but I don't honestly think much of the grills.

this is only about American companies. The point is that being religious - and in some cases making it obvious by printing stuff on one's product - does NOT stop a company from making profits.

In the US there are wackos who wish to push the notion that there's a 'war' on the religious. in actual fact there's negative feelings about dumbasses.

I quite got an inkling considering that here...

Gotta wonder though if that's just a marketing gimmick. If you find your products are popular with religious types, wouldn't you play up religion to help make a few extra sales?

sure, and I don't have an issue with that, but it just proves - once again - that showing some signs of one's religion in public isn't a negative and doesn't interfere with profit.

When I was in LA I recall shopping in "In and Out" a couple of times because they actually have tasty fries. I didn't realize they had any religious leanings at all. No one was proselytizing in the store. It was like any normal place. Customer goes in, buys stuff, leaves.

And that really IS the 'American way'.

There's only a problem when you try to convert people. religion is Private in the sense that it's YOUR thing. Leave others to do THEIR thing and everyone is happy

I'm familiar will almost every company on the list, and they are all well managed, and considered good places to work

In Texas you would have a hard time finding a grocery store other than HEB to shop,
both Safeway and Albertsons sold their Texas stores to HEB and abandoned the state

HE Butt Grocery 2011 Revenue: $15.1 billion
The privately held supermarket chain, operates over 300 stores, primarily in Texas. HE Butt also operates specialty grocery stores Central Market (gourmet foods) and Mi Tienda (Hispanic foods)

Were the fries in the shape of a cross? ;)
har har...no...they looked normal. I forget what the 'trick' they use but their fries are not dripping in oil. they are crispy without being wet
