Not a good week for the freaky isolationist party in Scotland.
Salmond's "Arc of Prosperity" together with Ireland (recession), Iceland (bankrupt) and Norway (pretty good, actually) speech has come back to bite him.
Scottish banks have just received a £37bn bailout from the UK taxpayer after their recklessness.
And while the English have to pay for their own prescriptions, tuition fees, parking at hospitals, all of which the Scots get free, Salmond has asked Westminster for another £1bn.
I suspect he doesn't really need the money, but actually he's playing his usual game of stoking English nationalism. The irony is that's the only weapon in his arsenal to achieve Scottish independence, because it seems polls suggest the Scots will never vote for it.
