A conspiracy theory I hadn't heard before

Chechen leader says ISIS is a western plan to make people hate Muslims (and to stop the mass conversion of the world to Islam).

I think the more prosaic answer is that they are just really good for using against enemy states (after all, they don't attack Israel or Qatar or Saudi Arabia, do they?)

Apart from the 'mystery' where ISIS gets its funds from (remember VISA being extremely quick to stop the funding of Wikileaks?), but, furthermore it all stays in a cloud of vague clues. I don't know what to think of it.

Saudis funded Al-Qaida. Why would ISIS be different? It's a good idea not to bite the hand that feeds you.
