"liberal elite"? You really don't understand class warfare at all. Elites are elite. They rule (and not colloquially - literally). Any group that organizes people is a threat to rule unless it is owned by the rulers. Groups that organize segments of the masses to rail against other segments of the masses is good - the "balance of forces" gives them a distraction to fight and cancels out the threat.

Anything that seeks to organize the underclasses only to better their lives is a deadly threat because it can engender group loyalty and turn into a movement. Any movement that educates people about "the system" and show them how they may use it to their advantage (usually knowledge reserved for the upper classes who, by knowing the hidden rules, can avoid the mines deliberately concealed therein) is an unacceptable peril.

If ACORN were truly serving the elites it would not be under such attack by the elites. James O'Keefe, by the way, is plugged right into the elite ruling machine : he put in time at the Leadership Institute getting his ideology and connections in order and cleverly took advantage of ACORN's mandate to help without prejudice those who ask for help.

ACORN is on your side. It is important that you don't know that. You should think that you are a participant in the rule of the country but you must never be allowed to actually have any influence.

When trolling - don't put both legs in crazy land. It makes it too obvious.

Here's how you can tell that ACORN is not a jackboot thug organization.

1) The media can criticize them and no critics get the sh!t kicked out of them.
2) government officials can denounce them and no-one gets a dead horse in their bed.

If they were a jackboot org then the politicians would be afraid of them but instead the politicians are afraid of the media.

As to getting Obama elected, there is truth in that but that is a democratic function not a jackboot function. ACORN was instrumental in signing up voters and getting voters to vote. This is the foundation of representation.

On the other hand, the republicans were trying to prevent as many black and hispanic and poor people from voting as possible by challenging them, sending them fliers that directed them to incorrect polling stations on incorrect days and by jamming the voter drive phone lines. They also spent taxpayers money on removing the names of taxpayers from the voting rolls.

One side has an advantage when more people vote.The other side plays by preventing opposing voters from voting by means both legal and illegal. One of those positions happens to be more democratic than the other.
