Adobe abandons mobile Flash development

In an abrupt about-face in its mobile software strategy, Adobe will soon cease developing its Flash Player plug-in for mobile browsers.

Irony was, that of all the things that didn't work on the hannspad, Flash was the one and only thing that really did work well on it. It produced a smoother playback through Opera Mobile than it can do under linux with the opensource ATI driver.

Pity, though somewhat understandable given the march of technology.
