There's lies, damned lies and statistics .. 'The unemployment rate when Mr. Obama was elected was 6.8 percent; today it is 8.5 percent — at least that’s the official number. In reality, the Financial Times writes, “if the same number of people were seeking work today as in 2007, the jobless rate would be 11 percent.'

Interesing that the President receives the # when he's voted in. Though for roughly 3 more months he's not in charge. In that 3 more month time the unemployment rate raised to 8.1%. And the nation still runs on the old President's budget until roughly August, when unemployment was 9.1%.

In elections the President, more often then not, gets supported if the nation is on the right track. At present the US is on the right track. If Europe doesn't implode and spill over to the US it's very likely Obama will be reelected. IMO Andrea Merkel has more impact on Obama's reelection than any of the Republican candidates.
