I maybe a conservative but I 'm not a bad sport so hat's off to the Marxist/Utopians in America, you have nearly won! The global elites like Soros will be most pleased you have nearly accomplished your set goals of the destruction of America as we know it. Perhaps soon you will be able to publicly thank Bushs for all their help that they gave to achieve your desired goals.

i just dont agree with you that it is that simple... we've been under the thumb of social engineers since there has been more than one of us... you can point the finger of shame at soros and rightfully so... but don't ever forget that capitalism is as much to blame for these statistics (as well as its own demise) as anything... wal mart is a pretty good and easy target.... they are doing pretty good... execs make fat cash... profits are up and expansion is actually booming... and i may be off a bit, but i read once somewhere like 60 percent of their employees received food stamps and medical assistance from the federal government or states... capitalisms' concern is for the bottom line... they don't create good jobs anymore... they only foster more greed... much of what the civil war was fought about was over the direction of capitalism... half the country wanted us working as slaves, the other as indentured servants

...but don't ever forget that capitalism is as much to blame for these statistics (as well as its own demise) as anything...

I'm not sure that capitalism is of much relevance since there isn't that much of it about - The problem is that the concentration of capital has stifled capitalism. What we are left with is a rentier economy where the fat cats are trying to extract the last ounce of production out of the system but there isn't enough capital in the hands of the producers to keep the system going.

let me rephrase that... it's the illusion of capitalism... some greed is good... but even most good things ought to be monitered...

Soros doesn't want Capitalism, he wants control. As far as WalMart, it's saving my ass right now since I buy all my food from there. Average person without a family working full time does not qualify for food stamps. They have medical insurance available so your off base about Medicaid, less they have a family then Medicaid is probably cheaper then what WalMart offers. That might sound awful but it's pretty easy to qualify for all sorts of welfare if you have a family and make below $20K. I still don't get why the Progressives hate WalMart so much, WalMart had Hillary Clinton on the BoD for years.

If we had a real growth in the economy and not just the fat cats that Obama bailed out on Wall Street playing with the Derivative markets, most folks wouldn't need (or shouldn't qualify) for federal/state assistance. Obama has botched everything up so badly, assistance is being taken by those who would never dream of taking it.

Then there is crony capitalism, which we have a hell of a lot of at the federal trough.

Its a 30+ year old problem. If this were a baseball game. Obama is one of the last in a series of bad pitchers.

eh... the economy was tanking before obama so that seems a little intellectually dishonest. i dont think anyone "shops with pride" paying with food stamps and the fact is to look at some of them they look like they feel bad even using them. i dont live in a vaccuum so i actually see and know some of these folks, a lot of them, in fact most, are actually struggling... i dont see the fraud and abuse as much as i used too...

Problem is we are heading towards the last inning: http://usdebtclock.org/ and that's not even touching the derivative market's soft bloated belly.
Unfortunately the Republican answer is worse. That answer is cut benefits from the poor and tax the poor heavily. No matter how one slices it tax is a surcharge on money. The poor don't have it. One can't get blood from a turnip. Instead we must tax where the wealth resides. The top end - remove the Bush tax cuts and cut half the budget, Military, in half.
