The website is owned by a company in the United Kingdom which is only separated from Germany by the North Sea. There are many foreign companies from all over Europe who are using hosting providers based in in Germany. This is not at all uncommon.
 
Heh, thanks. I guess I never really realized ownership left the US. Shows ya how much of this I follow.
