Anyone here played Penumbra - Overture?

Just had a crack at the demo, seems to be pretty good, although I did find the controls to be a bit tricky.

I was surprised it ran at all under the Open Source ATI driver I'm running here on kubuntu... Frame rate was a bit pants though.

But still, it ran, the game looked very very cool, does it get any better though?

Ps, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, tbh I was torn between here and the entertainment section...

I heard of it, but that's about it. All my gaming is limited to the PS3 these days.

Hmm... I faintly remember playing the tech demo back a few years ago. It wasn't bad, but never did enough to grab my interest. I couldn't quite make out what the game was trying to do, and it seemed like a fairly unfocused effort. It tried to be horror, but didn't really have a story or setting that fit, it claimed to have puzzles, but I didn't really see much of that, and there are certainly much better 1st person shooters, so it failed there, as well.
