I do most of my football watching in the stadium so someone else cooks (usually pretty badly. )

As for being ready for football, I'd love a game but haven't kicked a ball in anger for about a year.

Getting a bit too old I suppose.

Oh why do people insist on using pressed metal grills...Solid cast is the only way :p

Arteries... Hardening... At sight of meaty... Goodness... Must... Click away!

There is an extensive history of Hemochromatosis (HH) in my family and I was previously diagnosed with HH, but later had that reversed. I am reluctant to use cast iron because you do indeed absorb some iron from using it.

Shame as you get a lot more heat with cast. I recently decked my patio out with a new BBQ and it came with a pressed grill, first thing I did was pick up a nice cast grill for it.

The next time I have "Iron Panel" bloodwork done, I'll get a better comfort level (or not). I've wanted a cast iron fry pan for a while.

I'll be BBQing giant prawns for dinner tonight. Does that count? No game on tonight, but I can reminisce the game last weekend where the Winnipeg Blue Bombers got their asses handed to them here at home by most hated team, the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. On second thought, never mind I hate CFL anyway.

Edit: Btw Red, since we're on the topic, we should at least clear the air: Vikings or Green Bay?

Neither, I am a Dolphins fan, a long suffering Dolphins fan.

Long suffering? "Hah!" says the Detroit native. Only one game into the season, and we already have more wins than 2008!

I want a nice Turkey Drumstick for the Thanksgiving game. :D

Oh btw, to be more on topic

Isn't doing that bad lately :)

I feel for you! I was rooting for the Lions to win at least one game in 2008, didn't happen :( The Dolphins were one play away from being the first 0-16 team in 2007, so I had sympathy for Lions fans.

Shouldn't you guys call Gridiron something like throwball or handball or letshuddleupandcuddleeachotherball, because lets face is, there isn't all that much foot involved :p

/me hides

Ya, but you got the Red Wings!
Yep, and I've loved them a looong time. ...as well as the Tigers! I think I'm actually most excited about the Tigers, right now. What a time to catch fire!

1984 was my sports year as a kid. Tigers won the World Series, and the Red Wings drafted some guy named Steve Yzerman! :D
