I don't know if Linux is all that invisible. I seem to be able to make out what OS is working. Though having worked with a dozen OSes maybe it's moreso me than anything else.

Yep, and moreover, my install now has nvidia's latest compute-goodness installed. I didn't get much time to get my geek on in recent months and my old install wasn't very compatible with the current version of GCC I'm using.

Now it's all good again
