Bacon from Pig Stem Cells

the pig eaters should love that :D

As a vegetarian my choice was made for a number of reasons.

First was taste. I really don't like the taste and texture of meat. Yes you laugh but talk to my Mom about my Grade School days and chucking burgers and hot dogs behind bushes and only eating the bun. My daughter is the same way give her a salad and she's as happy as a pea in a pod (pun intended). This, obviously, won't do anything positive for me.

Later was treatment of animals and farming conditions. If this uses less resources, is lighter on the environment, and easier to farm (read less expensive). It'll probably catch on.

cut with a sharp knife while a rabbi mumbles something in Yiddish over it?
I guess that can be arranged. :D

but it won't bleed so is that necessary?

Although the lab-grown strips of meat don't yet taste or look much like pork (researchers say it has the consistency and feel of scallop

Not even the Dutch researchers responsible for growing the meat have been brave enough to try it yet, and they admit it's probably a long way off from tasting like real pork.

I bet my cat would eat it. She already loves to eat unidentifiable meat from a can with crap like consistency, this can't be worse than that.

The cats ignore those bacon treats, however Dogs love them
