by mistake ... it was the wrong house.
You'd think this would be easy to settle... you get your irreplaceable stuff jacked. You have income lost. You loss of social standing. Looks like BofA needs to write a big cheque. Hope they get a good judgement. Of course, big corporations like to drag their feet on actually cutting the cheque. Look at the Exxon Valdez. They still haven't paid out. They just wait for people to die.
 
I don't have a link handy, but I ready recently BoA was ranked in the top five banks "People don't trust" or something.
 
After reading the article, this couple should make a killing and I hope they do. Furthermore individuals from BoA should be charged with criminal offenses.

Absolutely! As should any judge who signed off on this to give them permission to do this. And if no judge was involved, the entire process needs to be reviewed to figure out why not.

Accident or not, there should never be a circumstance where a company can just take possession of something they claim to own without needing to show proof. It's been getting bad in the Corporate States of America lately, but this takes the cake. (And literally so, if one was left in the freezer of the house!)
