I've been kicking around the idea of needing a smallish LCD TV for my 128 tower project. I won't get too deep into why, just to say I found a way that RGBi to S-video is better than my current configuration. I check some stores online and get down to CompUSA or Best Buy.
CompUSA doesn't have most of their online product in the store, so that was a waste of a trip like usual.
Best Buy has the TVs I was looking at online, so decided which one I want and found the display. This is the TV.

I pick one out of the display and walk to the register. Of course, there are only 2 registers open, so I wait and wait and wait and wait. Finally my turn, the cashier rings it up and I am just about to swipe my card when the price pops up. $199 + tax. Uuuuh, lady, this is the wrong price! She motions for another employee to come over and this new lady starts mumbling into a 2 way radio. Time passes and the line starts getting long and unhappy by the delay. The 2nd lady mumbles into the CB confirming the model number, that it is not the model with DVD player etc. Time passes, finally she says the price is $199 and not $169, she picks it up and starts walking away.
Feeling my blood start to boil, I walk back to the display and snap this picture with my cell phone.
I walk over to the customer service line and wait, and wait. When I get up I ask for a manager, I am told to wait so I wait. I wait longer, and longer. Finally I find out who the manager is and she is trying to ignore me. It is the same 2nd employee that was at the cash register. I get her attention and I show her the cell phone picture of the display, she still refuses to honor the price. I leave, pissed at wasting a good part of my night on this nonsense and leaving empty handed.
After a call to corporate, I find that consumer relations for stores is closed for the night, they will re-open tomorrow at 11AM eastern. They better kiss my *&^*&*& butt! :x
