My uncle runs a hobby shop out here that does slots in scale drags, road and oval racing. Fun stuff. (Regrettably, I'm not in there all that often, as my winter racing addiction seems to be Forza Motorsport, now.)
its actually a cheap kind of no name brand... it has loop to loops too but it makes it way too big for upstairs... i bought it at a garage sale for 20$. i actually walked away from it and went back four hours later... lady had set it back for me "because she knew i'd be back for it because she could just tell by the look in my grandsons eyes when he saw it..." then she winked at me.... only; gabe wasn't with me... just my buddy chris... heh heh... apparently i hide my "child-liked-ness" unwell... when al wrecked it i said "jr (everything to scale) dale jr did not survive the crash"...
I should try to see what I can get of the hill climb course and tri-oval on video. The scale drags would almost be pointless to even try to capture, though. That 120+ MPH is not scale, it's actual. And it's not an exaggeration. There's computerized timing lights to confirm, and a monitor that displays the actual RT, ET, and trap speed. The fastest class is almost literally a blink and you've missed it race. I watched a couple guys just tuning, and saw a few trap speeds past 105. At 60fps, the video would just consist of two cars disappearing, less than a second of blur, and two cars re-materializing at the end of the track. My uncle worked with the original builder, and then added a couple additional frighteningly large capacitors after purchase, for good measure.i would love to see video of that....
