Boy, 9, Suspended from School for Sexual Harassment After Calling Teacher 'Cute'

A 9-year-old boy North Carolina boy was suspended for calling a teacher “cute,” WSOCTV.com reports.

The boy’s mother, Chiquita Lockett, said the principal of Brookside Elementary in Gastonia called her after the incident to say the comment was a form of “sexual harassment.”​

I don't think you'll find many fans of that sort of "political correctness" among people of any political stripe, and I should hope much less so even among liberals. The idea of banning certain forms of speech or expression are antithetical to liberalism and are instead authoritarian in character. The liberal philosophy is one of personal responsibility and consideration for others rather than a set of speech laws. Unfortunately authoritarians love speech laws because it gives them something else with which to cudgel the underlings.

Sexual harassment is at an unfortunate nexus where "liberal" consideration is applied by theocratic moralizing zealots who tend to be innately authoritarian.

Liberals would form a circle and talk about their feelings and how each others' actions affected them. The non-liberals would then make fun of them for not just smacking the kid, or at least suspending him for a few days.
