Mom superglues injured son's scrotum back together


The boy was crying in his bed when his father returned home. The father saw bloody tissue in the boy's underwear and a severe injury to his scrotum and then took his son to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, the affidavit said.
There, he was found to have a laceration to his scrotum that was 4 centimeters long and he had bruising to his penis area, the affidavit said.

Jennifer Vargas, the boys mother admitted to agents that while angry with the boy she grabbed him by the scrotum and pulled him to her as hard as she could, “thereby ripping his 'sack' and causing a laceration.”
Vargas told agents she cleaned the wound with alcohol and then repaired it with superglue, the affidavit said.

Actually a friend of mine who now lives in San Antonio told me about that story

He knows that I have been using superglue as a liquid bandaid for years. I work with sheetmetal and one night about 10 years ago, I got a "paper cut" about 1" long, between the middle two knuckles of my hand that went to the bone, I called him up to come over to squeeze on the superglue while I held the skin back together. He was amazed at how quickly it healed and how small the scar line was.

He called me up because of all the letters to the editor outraged about her using superglue to repair the wound, I thought her using alcohol was the biggest problem, she should have used hydrogen peroxide instead
 
Ya, my sis has given me some of that stuff they use at hospitals to glue wounds shut. It's good stuff but you gotta use the entire bottle in one shot. It's not made for multiple applications. You can buy liquid bandaids at the drugstore that do support multiple applications but it doesn't work as well.
