Ontario's top court has legalized brothels, saying Canadian prostitution laws unfairly discriminate against prostitutes and their ability to work in safe environments.

Unfortunately it doesn't set precedent across the country, however, it would be unusual for a justice in another province to contradict the Ontario ruling. Of course that all depends if a similar case where to go to court. Ontario women won a similar battle to have the right to be topless where ever a male is allowed to be topless in public. That, as far as I can tell, has never been challenged anywhere outside of Ontario even though it would likely end up taking the same path.

At any rate, now there's just one more reason to visit Toronto (for all those lonely American boys who just turned 18 ;)).

Plus what Red said.

Toronto, nothin... I would think Sarnia could get a boost, if they choose... Being that it's a short 10 miles or so to the Blue Water bridge from Selfridge ANGB in Port Huron. :D

And, also, what Red said.

Actually, in all honesty, I think Niagara Falls (the town and all it's casinos) will benefit the most.

True. They would be well positioned to be a little Vegas. They already try.

Though, from that thought, the Casino Windsor area could be viable, as well, giving them a little more draw than the Detroit casinos.

Amusingly enough, a few days ago my wife and I were looking for a movie to watch. The local theater listing on MovieFone listed a theater I'd never heard of 6.7 miles away... Then I looked at the address. "Lakeshore Drive, Lakeshore, ON" LOL! That's a long 6.7 miles from here if you're not into swimming. :D

I was in Ontario that day.

I remember it fondly. :p
