Just watched the French made movie/mini-series Carlos, and I have to say it was pretty awesome. It's the story of Carlos the Jackal, a famous Islamist/communist terrorist (although he called himself a revolutionary) and his rein of terror and murder over a couple of decades. It's like the Forrest Gump of terrorist movies. Well not really, but you do get to see a number of key pieces of history from a totally different perspective. And don't let the fact that it's a mini-series put you off, it's pretty raw and violent, probably more so then what you'd expect from a movie (although it seems it's also available as movie with a shorter run time). What I like is that the format gave them the time to really flesh out the story. The director takes his time with each shot and doesn't rush anything. Anyway, I liked the movie and thought I'd recommend it.
