That would be counter productive and make it seem more attractive.

I understand that child molestation can happen in any organisation that involves children. It's how the Catholic church dealt with it that makes it in my eyes a criminal organisation. When one single person with the fact a colleague has done such a thing, and doesn't know how to handle with that situation, I still can understand things won't go as they should go. But if the whole organisation is aware of abuse and want to hide it for their own good, I mean, that is just plain wicked!
