Read more here.

He did so during a Christmas reception at the White House, where President Barack Obama greeted the news with a fist bump for the man who had a higher profile campaigning for Obama’s reelection this year than any Florida Democrat.

Charlie is a perfect example of all that is wrong with politicians. Charlie has no spine and no morals. Charlie with do whatever and say whatever it takes to help Charlie. Now that he has come out as a Democrat, when will Charlie come out of the closet?

Alternatively it could the sign that he does have a spine and morals.

Winston Churchill also switched sides - twice.

@Red

First, that last line is fairly offensive. If Christy, or anyone, is gay there's nothing wrong with that.

Second, it makes some sense. Libertarians in the Republican demand government do nothing. If we follow the Libertarian principles the government shouldn't be helping these people in times of crisis.

Lastly, with both parties suckling on the same tit of big business is there as much difference as you think?

Eh, what? Why is it offensive? It's not like I said anything degrading towards homosexuals. I simply said he should come out of the closet. Besides, aren't you being a little hypocritical? I seem to remember you feasting on news of married republican politicians caught in homosexual acts.

There is supposed to be a difference. My point was exactly that this shows how fake they are.

And his 'morals' were questionable.

merely being gay is no big deal.

but being a hypocrite IS a big deal.

I don't know who is claiming this Crist person is gay - or why? Does he walk around claiming to be a "Christian" and all holy and making laws which take away the civil rights of gay people....and then has he been caught having fun with gay fellas ?? (ie, hypocrisy)

if not, then implying he's gay seems rather stupid

plus, being gay AND married is certainly something republicans seem to do fairly often. Just ask Marcus bachmann :D

and the only issue there is that he thinks he can 'pray away the gay' all the while taking people's money and torturing gay people.

I don't care if marcus wants to be married to that idiot shrew. That's between him and that woman.

what is revolting is their hatred of others who are simply being themselves.

hypocrisy the worst of vices?!?

Only if there is no moral right and wrong

by your standard if you take no moral stances and live by none, you are not being a hypocrite, and thus superior to someone who occasionally violates their moral code e.g. "a spirit-is willing, flesh-is-weak failing"

Partly but that's forgivable, I suppose. It's when someone holds others to a standard they are not able to meet and then blame the others for failing to meet that standard but forgive themselves.
