China takes lead in Clean Energy indeed a sad turning point. The USA needs to get it's act together and get on this emerging technology industry.

Bad news for the US. Its strategy is centered on controlling the worlds oil supplies but there's no way to choke off the clean energy which means very much diminished powers to "reason" with China.

Bad news for the US. Its strategy is centered on controlling the worlds oil supplies but there's no way to choke off the clean energy which means very much diminished powers to "reason" with China.

And if China is leading the way on development and manufacturing then the USA won't be able to compete. It'll come down to what model do Countries prefer. Buy it once and use it OR be nickeled and dimed monthly for oil. Since the later, also, comes with a greater level of unpredictability in cost, even if the USA can control oil, it's not going to have the market it thinks it would.
