You ever wonder about legitimate uses of firearms in personal defense? Below is a sampling of recent incidents:

My (latest) personal favorite. Go Granny!!!

- On an entertaining side note, I saw the video of the above report on this morning's news and the best part (IMO) is that the police helped granny reload her pistol! I love it!!!!

And for even more instances of self defense.

There was a story here about a van jacking. If recall is correct it happened in the southern USA.

The Grandma's van was car jacked. She came out of the store to see it driving out of the parking lot. While it was moving she opened the side door. She then grabbed the driver by the throat and held him until police arrived.

Gun's aren't the only option... When you have a hammer everything looks like a nail.

For some reason the use of the word 'citizens,' instead of just 'people,' intrigued me.

A wee bit Robocop or something.......

An interesting point Robert and one that I had not considered previously. Yeah, I can see how that would be a bit "Robocop or something". To me, in this case, I think the term "citizens" applies because it is a right that every citizen of the US enjoys (to keep and bear arms) as long as they are not a convicted felon, in which case they lose that right.

Still, even I can see the "link" in that terminology to another sci-fi film, Starship Troopers, in which you earn your "citizenship". I'll be a bit more (gasp...gulp) "liberal" with my phrasing in the future.

Have a great weekend! :pint:
