Argggh - run for the hills... the ATHEISTS are coming.
Still growing and coming on strong or more likely just becoming more outspoken. The year 2000 came and went, nothing happened, the religious have lost some steam and the unreligious have found some. Many people actually don't believe in the fairy tales that many call religion but they find it easier to close their eyes, put their hands together and mouth the words so as not to rock the boat - you know - Emperor's New Clothes kind of thing.
The internet is probably helping to. The more diverse your knowledge the less likely you are to be religious. Heck, even Mother Teresa died an unbeliever and even John Paul II is said to have lost his faith.
This new pope blames atheists for all sorts of evil so his vitriolic lambastements are probably indicative of another cloistered atheist.
