Or maybe God let's idiots die for a reason too. Or in this case, their offspring.

If only they had said it was a home abortion and had stabbed a scissors into the back of the fetus head, then it would have been ok.

Good point, they would even have been called noble.

I lack the words to properly frame the contempt with which I hold this statement.

Trolling or not. Just no. Same goes for you Red.

the doctor takes a sharp pair of scissors and stabs the back of the fetus’s skull. A vacuum tube is then inserted; the fetus’s brain is sucked out; the skull collapses

As much as I dislike abortion there is a clear difference between an abortion and the birth and subsequent neglect of life saving intervention. It appears the parents intended for life but through willful ignorance failed.

Ya, plus I don't think there's any place on earth that allows such late stage abortions.

It was rather routine in the US up until 2003.

If by "routine" you mean 0.17% of all abortions, sure. Attempting to imply that this was somehow commonplace though is at best disingenuous.

That didn't get rid of it altogether as individual states still feel the need to take action banning the practice. Of course, there are still many pro-abortion people who fully support this method of abortion.

There are readily available alternatives, even to late term abortions that do not require "partial birth" that were even at the time used much more frequently.

And I imagine that many of what those on the pro-abortion side of the debate are defending is the right to abortion at all, because this act was just the first of many that have come since that have increasingly restricted women's rights to autonomy over the past decade.

I get that many social conservatives view women as self propelled incubators, and that any woman who has sex aught to be punished, punished with babies that is. But attempting to conflate someone who was knee deep in woo but who clearly wanted the child with abortion was and remains wrong.
