Report: Festival Goers Expecting Tropical Paradise Packed with Instagram Models Face Assaults, Wild Dogs Instead

An elite and luxury “rich kids of Instagram” festival on an island in the Bahamas instead turned into a nightmare according to a report by The Telegraph.

“It was supposed to be the most glamorous event of the year, with all the selfie opportunities and flower-crowns a young, gym-bodied social media influencer could dream of,” wrote The Telegraph‘s Adam White. “But Fyre Festival, an elite concert event on a deserted island in the Bahamas with tickets priced up to $12,000 has quickly turned into a terrifying B-movie, with flocks of Instagram models forced to seek shelter in an airport after arriving to discover a lack of food, violent locals, appalling accommodation and feral dogs roaming the grounds.”

A-listers told to avoid Ja Rule music fest before disaster hit

According to sources, organizers, including Rule and McFarland, warned A-listers not to come and took off when things went south.

“They called all the A-list names and the modeling agencies and told them not to come,” says the source. “They were just like, ‘Oh, come next weekend when all the kinks have been worked out.’ This was before the chaos even started.”

Money is already collected, no need to show up a-listers. Your job is done here.

While guests are still trapped at the event — which has been described online as “the Hunger Games but with less luxury” — and are desperately trying to get back home, “Everybody who was organizing the festival took off,” says the source. “They abandoned it. They put up a sh—y stage, took millions of dollars, and then left everybody stranded. It was like a scene out of that movie ‘Exodus.’ There were people with bags, not knowing what to do. I feared for people’s safety, it got so bad.”

Another source claims McFarland was busy partying on a yacht Thursday night while other people suffered. Rule’s rep did not return Page Six’s request for comment, but the “Always on Time” rapper was spotted performing in Chicago.

Mega model Shanina Shaik, who was part of the glossy promotion for Fyre Festival, ditched out after hearing about the disaster zone conditions. Shaik and “Wags” star Natalie Halcro were spotted at Ora nightclub in Miami where a guest was overheard asking how it felt to be in the VIP instead of the fest. “They announced unanimously: ‘relieved!'” says a spy.

Kendall Jenner, who is still suffering fallout from the Pepsi commercial, is taking heat on Twitter for promoting Fyre in a now deleted post. But she seems to be doing fine. While sources told us weeks ago the model was scheduled to appear at Fyre, she was safe in L.A. hanging out at Craig’s with her ex, basketball player Chandler Parsons and some friends. Her mom Kris was nearby with Sara and Erin Foster. “Kendall kept getting up from her table to go over to her mom’s table,” says a spy. “People were just table hopping throughout the night. It was like a house party.”

A number of attendees, who had paid for packages ranging from $2,000 to $250,000, were not even able to get their flights from Miami to the Exumas, and those who did discovered that the luxury accommodations, which they had been sent upscale-looking illustrations of and were described as “modern, eco-friendly, geodesic domes,” were just relief tents used by FEMA and the UN.

“They had a tent village that was a refugee camp and there was a long unorganized mess of people and Billy all of sudden just goes ‘run and grab a tent,'” says a source on the island. “Everyone was running and security lost control. Tents were being torn down.”

Buwahaha! So while the libertards are playing out "Hunger Games, but with less luxury", the celebrities who stole their money are somewhere else partying.

I keep reading comparisons to "Dashcon" which I never heard about before now. Apparently Dashcon (AKA Tumblrcom) was a similar scam, though with less violence.

Huffington Post completely ignores the fact that the only ones attending such a garbage "festival" like this would be rich Liberal kiddies, like the ones who would read Huffington Post. They ignore this, and ignore the fact this festival was created by Ja Rule, a black rapper. They also ignore the fact that the pictures showed a mix of races. Nope, none of this matters. The real problem here is evil whitey who bought tickets, because they are white, or something.
