Our leaders averted a disaster and have the economy roaring back, dow 10,000 is proof of that. We are lucky to have such competent people in all levels of government.

That depends on how it's performing. When it was rising through the 80's and 90's it was a GREAT indicator. Now that it's showing no growth then we don't want to extrapolate that to the general economy.
