Elmo actor Kevin Clash resigns amid sex allegation

Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has resigned from "Sesame Street" in the wake of an allegation that he had sex with an underage youth.
In its statement Tuesday, Sesame Workshop said "the controversy surrounding Kevin's personal life has become a distraction that none of us want," leading Clash to conclude "that he can no longer be effective in his job."
"This is a sad day for Sesame Street," the company said.

The tax dollars made Elmo talk. I don't think the puppeteer was paid to bang folk. It is also a miniscule portion of tax dollars that he was paid and the Jim Hensen Company has plenty of income other than the shows that PBS plays. PBS is also funded by "viewers like you" and private donors. Federal funding amounts to about 15% total funding. Glaucus may have been giving you too much credit, but it certainly counts as one of the dumber posts ever on Whyzzat.

Want to complain about how tax payer's money get's spent, maybe look at the boy parties thrown by DynCorp as part of its contracting for the State Department. That's actual government funded buggery.
