A discovery of a cheap guitar FX box and synth last week has reawakened my interest in music and sounds (Pod XT live / Kawai K1 in case you're wondering).
A long time ago I used to write audio FX software for an old computer called the Amiga, it's a bit of an obscure system nowadays but I'm sure some of you have heard of it ;-)
Anyway, the big touchscreen has me intrigued for the possibilities of using an iPad as a way to program a synth, and also manipulate it in real time.
I could go for an EEEPad of course, it will be a lot more powerful but that means Android and IIRC you program that in Java or some variant thereof.
The iPad uses native Objective-C and has the usual Apple SDK goodness. I also want to do some OpenGL ES programming and it's also useful for that.
Any thoughts?
Anyone here programmed an iPad or iPhone?
P.S. I'm also going to ask on moobunny but I'll probably just be told I'm gay or something equally intelligent...
