Facebook glitch or purge

The first amendment right of free speech is established so the government can't impact private citizens. Private businesses, like Facebook, can impose whatever rules of 'doing business' they wish to on their environments. So actually no they don't have a right to free speech in that forum.

Yes, I know. But if these guys were Chinese bloggers critical of the Chinese government there'd be some questions asked.

If it were pro-abortion lesban feminists, the american left would claim censorship and would demand laws be passed.

You mean there's no evidence their Facebook pages went away?
there's people Claiming they can't access certain pages.

at least one of these pages seems to have "returned". I looked at it.
there's no explanation and not many 'facts" to speak of...

Yes, they are jumpy types.

Some of them are up, some still down. Did someone get hacked or was a data center being switched over? I don't know, but it's true that these guys are hypervigilant which is why they sometimes see what isn't there but sometimes they see where the magician really got the rabbit from.

Hard to say what happened there. One thing to note is that the guy says only SOME of those people were "truthers". I take it that means that others were more "normal"? That could be a clue. Also, maybe the guy posted something truly controversial or tasteless and everyone decided to un-friend him for real (in addition, if they blocked him as well, it would appear as though their accounts were missing but only to him). The "11 min ago" may in fact be a limitation of Social Fixer and not the actual recorded time of the un-friending. From what I can tell, it keeps it's own local cache of your friends and compares it with the current list, and making note of any friends that drop off the list. So ya, it would probably detect them all at once like that.

There's also the likelihood of FB malware, which do exist. I don't run any FB apps for a reason. He may have been specifically targeted or just unlucky. We could speculate until the cows come home.
