For lesson in shared sacrifice, send Congress to boot camp

Like most veterans, the men and women who have worn our nation's uniform to defend this country, I am furious with and disappointed in the state of indecision that plagued Washington these past few weeks. Whether or not to raise the debt ceiling so our country can continue to pay our bills and maintain our global credit rating didn't seem like such a difficult decision.

Nah. Instead they should get rid of the standing army. That's what leads to slavery. Soldiers still think they are fighting for "freedom" when they are kicking brown people off of oil fields but they're just fighting for rich guys.
If soldiers were fighting for freedom shouldn't the US be getting freer since 9/11? The US is fighting wars all over the place but all the American people get is check-points and security gropes.

That somewhat true, the two fail president was fighting for the wrong reason and that is a mistake to send the soldiers there. Nonetheless soldiers took the risks for US. The check-points and security gropes is just a rent-a-cop and that should get the cuts.
