I previously suggested you guys should come down to Phoenix and take your hockey team back home, where it belongs. Looks like you might get your chance!

Good on ya! I hope you bring back the old Jets name when they return, too! Of course, since I can't see how this could be anything but good for the NHL, I'm not sure how Bettman will allow it. It doesn't fit with his mission to destroy North American professional hockey.
 
Coyotes in Glendale, for now
Council agrees to meet NHL's conditions for keeping team

It appears Glendale is scared that their $180 million ice rink in the middle of the desert might go to waste if the Coyotes leave. Well ya, of course, but who the hell thought it was a good idea to build a rink in the desert?!? Now they're offering to cover up to $25 million in losses if the Coyotes stay one more year. Pretty stupid considering less then 300 "die hard" fans came out to the save-the-team rally.

I'm hoping the Goldwater Institute succeeds with their law suite against Glendale.
