Ford announced this morning that they made a $2.7 billion profit in 2009!

Now lets see...Chrysler and GM made? What was the difference here?? Hmmm... among other things, Ford did not sign on to the government bailout of the auto industry.

And look here... "The Dearborn-based automaker's debt load increased by $7.4 billion to $34.3 billion, largely because it took a charge of $7 billion to account for debt to a union-run retiree health-care fund. That puts Ford at a disadvantage to GM and Chrysler, who were able to shed debt in bankruptcy court." Really? I wonder what those union members think about Obama now?

Being we're the sole nation with healthcare done in this manner, at twice the cost of our foreign competitors, and we fail to cover all people in society I hope they are wondering why not only Obama but any previous President's couldn't get universal healthcare like the rest of the world. It'd better ensure competitiveness.
