If you believe the shooter's own words and actions prior to the shooting, that's exactly what it was...

Santiago was briefly hospitalized in November after he walked into the FBI office in Anchorage and asked for help, authorities said. He told agents the U.S. government was controlling his mind and forcing him to watch Islamic State propaganda videos, investigators said.

On the other thread, you implied it was because he was muslim.
Now it's CIA mind control?

I find it more plausible that his tour in Iraq had a traumatic effect which left him dangerously unstable:

Santiago returned from Iraq a changed man, his aunt claimed

"His mind was not right," Maria Ruiz Rivera said. "He seemed normal at times, but other times he seemed lost. He changed."
She added, "He talked about all the destruction and the killing of children. He had visions all the time."

And the Anchorage FBI thought he was unstable enough to confiscate his gun.
But then he got it back.
Maybe, just maybe, this guy should not have been allowed to carry a gun.

I'm not suggesting any such thing in this thread. Look at the title, see the question mark? Look at my post, see where I stated it was his own words? Reading comprehension going down here on Whyzzat?

He was a Muslim, that's not disputed. The fact that he walked into an FBI office last year and made the statements he did is interesting. Probably nothing to it other than a deranged individual, but it will sure feed the conspiracy theorists for some time now.

Maybe, just maybe, this guy should not have been allowed to carry a gun.

FBI took away his gun after he claimed mind control, then gave it back. That will sure fuel the conspiracy theories.
