MC Hammer changes name to McHammer after discovering Scottish ancestry
80s rap star MC Hammer has legally changed his name to McHammer after taking a DNA test and discovering he has Scottish ancestry.
The results came back showing that the singer of ‘Can’t Touch This’ has 12.5% Scottish DNA, something that floored the rapper.‘I thought maybe I had a little Native American in me. Obviously some African. Never did I think Scottish,’ McHammer told us.
McHammer has embraced his culture, not only with his new name but with a change in lifestyle too.
‘I suddenly feel the need to crossdress in public, take copious amounts of heroin, and fry all my food,’ he said.
