Further evidence that water may still flow on Mars

There's stuff living on Earth that could probably survive quite comfortably on Mars. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deinococcus_radiodurans as a classic example. Some people have even suggested that it may hail from our rusty neighbour in the first place as there doesn't seem to be any obvious requirement for it's polyextremophile nature on Earth. However, it may be that it's amazing hardiness may be a side effect of a different adaptation, but either way, given that it's radiation / vacuum dessication / acid / cold / heat resistant, Mars wouldn't be much of a problem as long as it has somewhere that's wet for a few days of the year in which to reproduce...
