Occupy Fort Lauderdale protesters evicted from Wilton Manors park

WILTON MANORS—
About 12 people taking part in the Occupy Fort Lauderdale protest were told to pack their tents and leave Equality Park on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after they were given approval to stay there.

Paul Hyman, executive director of the Pride Center, which owns the park at 2040 N. Dixie Highway, told the group in an email that insurance concerns prompted him to rescind the hospitality offer he extended Monday after the protesters were forced out of Bubier Park in Fort Lauderdale a day earlier.

Hyman said the group's presence also violated the city's occupancy code.

In the article you linked at the top you quoted the part about the Pride Center changing its mind about the occupancy at its park, but you leave off the part :
"The work of the Occupy movement, and that of Occupy Fort Lauderdale, is highly consistent with our mission," wrote Hyman. "Over time, we would be happy to support the group in other ways."

Not that you particularly cared. It seems that your real intent is to associate "gay" and "OWS" just the same way you, Dammy and metalman like to associate "commie" and "Soros" with "OWS". It's the ame guilt by association ploy you complain about with the MSM vilifying the Tea Party crowd with "racists" and the Koch Brothers - except worse because people who try that propaganda trick using groups such as "gays" as the negative association are merely showing their own bigotry, not merely appealing to the bigotry of others - one that the right wing has probably overestimated outside of the Xtian & Muslim fundies.
