George Zimmerman uses gun to threaten

Maybe the wife's father was wearing a hoodie and the in-laws were carrying Skittles suspiciously.

Why is Zimmerman's wife not being arrested for providing false information to law enforcement?

Deputy Police Chief Colin Morgan said officers did not recover a gun, and Bracknell said Shellie Zimmerman later dropped her claim that a gun was involved.

"Domestic violence can't be invoked because she has changed her story and says she didn't see a firearm," Bracknell said.

The dispute "was between him and his wife and her father,'' Morgan said. "There were some allegations that there had been an assault, but we could not confirm any of it.''

Shellie knew what she was doing. She gamed the liberal media and got the result she wanted. Trending headlines said stuff like "George Zimmerman arrested for pulling gun on wife, assaulting father in law". On the drive into work the (non-political) morning talk show was saying what a nut-bag George is for pulling a gun on his wife, not mentioning that she changed her story. A Google search shows most news not even mentioning her changing the story. George did not pull a gun, did not assault anyone and was not arrested or even taken into custody. He was briefly questioned at the scene and that was it. Police also have surveillance video, oops.

Smells like Shellie wanted her name out there for either a book deal or fishing for a reality show. So why was she not arrested?

A Lake Mary police official later said Zimmerman did not have a gun, officers never found a gun and that Zimmerman himself said he never had a gun on him.
That appears correct. What appears to have happened is the guy that just killed another guy with a gun threatened to shoot his father-in-law, as well. Though did not brandish a gun on his father-in-law.

Anything to back up your claim that he threatened to shoot the father in law?

looks more like Shellie Zimmerman tried SWATTING her husband

Looks like high emotions from the divorce process.

It will be interesting to see if the police find any useful info on her iPad

aside from that, this is rather insignificant. I mean to the rest of us.

of course, if I saw zimmerman walking down the street I'd gather my family and friends and get them away, FAST. The guy is a proven killer and lacks any common sense

from the police report

Officer states (p.10), “Due to the lack of physical evidence, independent witnesses and conflicting statements, no charges will be filed on [GZ] for battery domestic violence. Battery charges against [SZ] and David are not being filed due to the refusal to prosecute waivers signed by both parties.”
Another officer (p.11), “Due to the lack of physical evidence, independent witnesses corroborating testimony at this time, I do not feel that this case warrants Battery charges against [GZ]. There was no claim of assault or battery on [very long redaction, presumably SZ and David], therefore there will be no charges filed at this time against either party.”

So while both officers clearly state that there is NO EVIDENCE to warrant charges against GZ, they both agree that the reason they’re not charging SZ and her father is that GZ declined to pressing charges.

Shelly Zimmerman (Dean) father is named in the police report as David Bryant Dean.

Seems this is the same David Bryant Dean , from 1991:
Investigators said Bloch supplied stolen vehicles and equipment to David Bryant Dean, who used them for his Longwood landscaping business.
Dean, 36, received a year of house arrest and 10 years of probation last week after pleading guilty to dealing in stolen property and five counts of grand theft. (Snip)
Their thefts amounted to between $250,000 and $300,000, but they had a falling out over money, said Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Michael LaFay.
Dean and Bloch began threatening each other and tattling on one another by reporting the thefts to the vehicles’ owners, Lafay said. That helped deputies put finishing touches on an investigation they had been conducting for almost a year, LaFay said.
”They would just get madder and madder at each other,” he said.
