I wonder if this was an Obama "Fast & Furious" assault riffle?

Amazing, it was a "real" assault rifle this time and not a semi-automatic rifle that the media likes to call an "assault rifle." This was a 2x deadly event, answering a domestic call and vehicle stop, the two most likely events that lead to a LEO's death. The only consolation in this was that Deputy Paugh took the bastard with him.

This brings up the subject, is it time for LEOs to use Type III/IV armor? I know, Type IIIA was just getting comfortable to wear but it's a different world out there, and likely to get much worse.
