Sadly however, the non existent war on women by the far right religious wing of the GOP continues on at a scary pace:

This little zinger came in from Georgia.

The Republicans in the Georgia legislature managed to find a "compromise" that would allow them to finally pass a 20 week ban on abortions. The Senate proposal to exclude "medically futile" pregnancies was accepted by the House and voted through, effectively banning abortion after 20 weeks for any fetus except those with "profound and 'irremediable' anomalies that would be 'incompatible with sustaining life after birth.'"

With the new law in place, any abortion performed after 20 weeks must be "be done in a way to bring the fetus out alive." In other words, an abortion would likely be performed by inducing labor in order to attempt to have a live birth of a fetus, despite the fetus having physical anomalies that render it non-viable after birth, and even when the abortion is being performed prior to viability (usually about 24 weeks due to lung development).

That's right, even in the event that the foetus develops in a way in which it will never survive, it will, instead of being aborted at the first opportunity, will now require the woman to undergo a live birth and then watch as the child dies in front of her.

It's not about "saving babies", this is wholly and solely about punishing women.

If my view of this law is in error, I would be interested in knowing who this "helps".

Otherwise, the only logical and reasonable conclusion is that this law is nothing more than an attack on women.

We already had this conversation. Aborted "fetuses" after about the 22rd week have been known to survive the abortion, only to be killed by the doctor by either smothering, slitting of the throat, etc. After a "fetus" is outside of the woman's body and no longer attached by an umbilical cord, they are legally a human being and not a lump of flesh. The eugenic trendies are trying to change the definition of what a human being is so a full term, 9 month, live birth baby may be "aborted" as a newborn and up to 3 years of age.

Go ahead and act shocked if you want. Not everyone in the USA has fallen for the trendy eugenics movement. Killing a "fetus" has been legal for years, but there is a line being drawn in the sand against killing out of the womb living babies.

You headsticking the keyboard about things you clearly know nothing about does not constitute a conversation.

And you never did answer that question.

It's foetus and yes, in cases where the abortion has been botched, some have survived and no, it's not pleasant.

That's the second time you've made that claim and yet again, no citation. Also enough with the misuse of the term eugenics. You didn't like getting called an asshole for misusing it before, so stop continuing to do so.

Go ahead and act shocked if you want. Not everyone in the USA has fallen for the trendy eugenics movement.

There are no words.

Killing a "fetus" has been legal for years,

The term is foetus.

but there is a line being drawn in the sand against killing out of the womb living babies.

You didn't even bother to read the excerpt it seems, because thanks to this law, that is exactly what will happen. Women carrying babies, who are so malformed that they won't survive long after birth, rather than getting an abortion will instead be forced into labour, the baby born only to suffer and die on the table.

So I ask once again, how and who does this help?

and yet there's nothing wrong with following a person down the street and shooting them.

yeah, sure

in a eugenics oriented society red, you are the desired byproduct....fall for the red meat arguments...repeat talking points just fine with a few exceptions... surrender all logic to fantastical belief structure with little basis in fact... save some modicum of exception....u are low resistance and easily manipulated.... you should rejoice... youll prolly be spared...

yeah, as if one immoral action can be washed away by other immoral actions.

wow, really sad

this article sums it up nicely:

What's Behind the Conservative Attack on Women?

....there’s the fact that we live in a society that has become remarkably dependent on the unfettered ambition of women. As the Washington Post reporter Liza Mundy writes in a new book, “The Richer Sex,” forty per cent of working wives now earn more than their husbands, and, by 2030, that number will probably rise to fifty per cent. Women already make up more than half of college and university students. By 2019, if current trends continue, they will make up fifty-nine per cent of total undergraduate enrollment, and sixty-one per cent of those enrolled in graduate programs. This is an economic and educational order predicated on the freedom of women, married and unmarried, to protect their own health and to decide when they’re going to have children.

uppity women... we gave you the right to vote... what more could you possibly need or want except what your "man" says you do... now get to "cleavin' unto your man"... ;)

How do those videos detract from the systematic removal of the rights of women in the US?
Your "attacks on women" "war on women" is hyperbole

this is an example of an actual "attack on women" "war on women"

...and i am duly horrified and am in complete agreement that that shit needs to be stopped with great immediacy, and hey while we're at it let's fix the stuff we do which is bad in it's own right so we can have an honest claim to the moral high ground....

mm you dont get the bigger picture here do you? you know santorum has waged a war on women due to his religious convictions... here in america god fearing christians put out contracts on care providers... some of them same christians carry out those death warrants... the unfortunate woman in that photo was probably raped and now she must die... and why?... sharia law... you know religious convictions....
