I think, at a certain point, the Republican party may realize that they could run a processed cheese slice as their presidential candidate and most Republicans would simply vote for it because it was the Republican candidate. The Ron Paulians, on the other hand, have dedication and they vote and bring others to vote with them. If Ron Paul got the endorsement then he would carry the Republican voters anyway and he could bring over the libertarian voters and other swing voters.
On the other hand - he would cost the party bosses their comfortable relationships with money and power. Can you think of many Republicans who would vote against the party if Paul was the leader? Would they really go over and vote for Obama?
But in the end, the straw polls mean nothing. We'll see if the Ron Paul voters can get enough people inside the tent to vote in the primaries (if security doesn't stop them).
I have NO idea what I'm really doing, but I installed the SSL cert on whyzzat.com, generated a secret key, then set up image and link proxies.
Hopefully the site now directs to https:// properly, doesn't generate any cookie errors, and is generally a better, more secure environment...
