GOP using Tea Party

They don't have a choice. The Tea Party is composed of Republicans. If the Tea Party fronts a candidate to run against the Republican and Dems the loser will undoubtably be the Republican. And if it's an unpopular Dem it may well be the Dem too, but this is much less certain.

Tea Party is composed mainly of "Libertarians" & "libertarian - Republicans"

The Tea Party is endorsing & supporting candidates in the Republican primaries

Didn't you tell us that the Dems made up a sizable portion of the Tea Partiers? Where'd they go?

The Tea Party is in favor of fiscal responsibility by government, less spending and lower taxes, and a desire to return government to its constitutional limits

Most Democrats have no interest in those principals.

Democrats join the coffee party.

Did a search... It appears to have been a claim Fade was trying to make. Apologies for the confusion.

Democrats who join the Tea Party movement are those who now realize that they're not really Democrats anymore.

Jimmy Carter convinced a lot of people to become ex-Democrats between 1976 to 80, Barack Obama is convincing a new generation now.

ABC White House Correspondent Sam Donaldson: "Mr. President, in talking about the continuing recession tonight, you have blamed mistakes of the past and you've blamed the Congress. Does any of the blame belong to you?"
President Ronald Reagan: "Yes, because for many years I was a Democrat,"

I'd say the public is fickle. If someone expects a President to fix, in 1 year, the damage caused in the last 8 they have some unrealistic expectations. They likely aren't a Dem or a Rep but an undecided middle.

New York governors candidate, Kristin Davis

She read Von Mises, Ayn Rand, Hayek & Friedman, and she decided she was a Libertarian

She's been doing her homework on Austrian School economics and libertarian political and social theory. She just doesn't realize she's joined the tea party movement yet.
