What about the Catholics? Why doesn't anyone think of the Catholics?!

there's lots of catholics who privately use contraception and think the Popes notions are insane.
they just won't say that in public

not being catholic I can be free to express my thoughts in public.....the Popes idea about contraception are immoral and assholery.

so there :D

I know, the Catholic church is simply full of bullshit.

Personally, I think handing out free contraception to all women is a brilliant idea. We should do that in the third world too.

The Catholics I know I find interesting. The ones I know personally tell you that the Pope is unimportant, transubstantiation is a lie, and the churches policies stupid. (One didn't even know what transubstantiation is.) Seems to be family obligation that keeps them Catholic. ' Oh my parents are so I have to be.' What?!
Must be me that darn Atheist friend who actually reads and tries to understand what the churches hold sacred. If one believes enough they just do and it appears unimportant what the offical church policy says.

so correct. most catholics that I know just do it out of habit.

I was one of those really obnoxious children that listened carefully to what the nuns were saying and THOUGHT about everything they said. This is why I knew they were full of crap.
the principle in grammar school said to me, and I quote, "Why don't you conform".....
that's what they want...robots, unthinking robots......yup, they hated me.
But, because I can reason I have had a much happier life than anything they had in mind for me.
