That is SO disturbing on so many different levels that I had to share. I'm sure there are good people out there trying to protect kids, but I'm also skeptical enough, and I know how the government works just enough to wonder if that's not a wide-spread problem (CPS profiting by improperly removing kids from their homes).
There's long been a concern that child services attracted unsavoury types (because, after all, it involves children) but I had no idea that the whole operation was monetarily incentivized. That sort of thing might have looked like a "productivity bonus" to some politician at some point but it just begs for abuse, and apparently gets it. Once money is on the line organizations do all sorts of slimy things to keep the tap open.
I have NO idea what I'm really doing, but I installed the SSL cert on whyzzat.com, generated a secret key, then set up image and link proxies.
Hopefully the site now directs to https:// properly, doesn't generate any cookie errors, and is generally a better, more secure environment...
