A HOMOPHOBIC Catholic lawmaker from Indiana
is facing pressure to resign after his attempt to solicit an 18-year-old rentboy was exposed at the weekend.
Republican State Representative Phil Hinkle – married and a former board member of the Greater Indianapolis Young Men’s Christian Association – claims to have been the victim of a “shake down” after giving the youth, Kameryn Gibson, $100, his Blackberry and an iPad.

Emails, sent from Hinkle’s publicly listed personal address, asked the young man for “a couple hours of your time tonight” and offer him cash up front, with a tip of up to $50 or $60 “for a really good time.”
A meeting subsequently took place at the hotel, but apparently went pear-shaped when Hinkle revealed he was a lawmaker. More than that, he revealed his penis.
Gibson claimed that when he tried to leave, Hinkle grabbed him in the rear, exposed himself, then later gave him an iPad, his BlackBerry cellphone and $100 cash to keep quiet.
Now pressure is growing on Hinkle to resign.
