You've started an entire thread, titularly aimed at me, demanding I explain "black unmarked ghost helicopters," something I don't recall ever hearing about, let alone speaking about. Rather antagonistic and, frankly, weird.

I didn't ask for you to explain black helicopters. You've implied you think it is ridiculous (paraphrasing) that the government would impede rescue efforts. There's no way to explain the copters (and alleged black SUVs) actions other than to be menacing and threatening IMO.

I'm highly agitated dealing with a potential cat5 making landfall in ~34 hours at my family property exactly 2 weeks after Helene wrecked the neighborhood. I just got done driving for ~11 hours straight. The fact that the feds response is not only to not help, but to impede rescue efforts enrage me. On a local level in Crystal River also issues, but I'll refrain from saying anything here.

I took 19 seconds to quick document the house and street. Had no time to do more.

Yeah I guess this thread may have been a bit strong. I am agitated with what's going on with the storms and storm recovery blockage and other issues. I'm also agitated dealing with a certain IRL friend who is apparently an NPC. Someone who should be helping their mother cope with the storm but instead is blowing it all off seemingly because of not wanting dems in power to look bad. I'm further agitated with 2 family members for different reasons related to handling of the storms.

That is a demand to explain black helicopters, specifically a conspiracy theory of "unmarked ghost" ones. If that isn't what you meant, why write it?

I haven't mentioned rescue efforts anywhere in relation to this.

I'm sorry to hear about that and I hope things work out for you. However, if you're going to start a thread having a go at me, at least try to keep it to something I've actually said, rather than something you've read between the lines.

Missed this earlier. Thank you and I hope it all blows over (excuse the pun) without too much further damage. I'll bow out of this thread now.
 
It shifted back north and sped up. Our property is getting hammered as I type this. All that debris from the Helene 2 weeks ago that the local government(*) failed in having removed is now projectiles. It's probably not a question of if there is damage, just a question about how much. 2 of my kids and their families are in Orlando.

Hurricane Milton is nearing landfall on the Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday night as a major Category 3 hurricane with 120 mph winds as the state has endured an assault of nearly 120 tornado warnings throughout the day.

“The northern eyewall of Hurricane Milton is beginning to move onshore of the Florida gulf coast near Tampa and St. Petersburg where an Extreme Wind Warning is now in effect,” the National Hurricane Center warned at 7 p.m. “Please shelter in place as these extremely dangerous hurricane-force winds overspread the region.”

I have somewhat of a connection with local gov there so I know at the very least there is complete incompetence. I personally suspect not incompetence and something more sinister, but that's JMO at this point.
